SkinPen with PRP

The first FDA approved class II microneedling device

The SkinPen device is clinically proven to improve the appearance of wrinkles and acne scars in patients ages 22 and older.  Microneedling creates thousands of tiny injuries to the skin that stimulate your body’s own natural wound healing process.  This rejuvenates your skin from the inside out. The result is remodeling of scar tissue for fresh, new glowing skin! The SkinPen is also very effective at improving hyperpigmentation, sun damage, large pores or uneven skin texture. In as few as three minimally invasive treatments spaced 30 days apart, you can improve your appearance and step out with confidence!

Benefits

  • Little Downtime: It is a perfect treatment for patients with a busy schedule.
  • Safe to have done any time of year.

  • Calling collagen!  Microneedling is also called collagen-induction therapy, which is exactly the resource you need to combat the increasing wrinkles and fine lines that appear on your skin with each passing year

  • Safe for all Skin Types: Clinically proven effective on all skin tones and textures.

  • Safety profile: The First FDA-cleared microneedling device on the market

  • Comfortable: A light topical numbing cream may be used to minimize discomfort

  • Lasting results:  One of the most impressive microneedling benefits with PRP therapy is that we’re able to deliver results that last. Because we’re tapping your body’s own resources to rebuild from the inside out, you benefit with natural-looking results that go the distance.  Of course, aging will catch up with your skin again, at which point we can revisit this technique to hit the reset button on your skin again.

The Science

There are three phases to the wound-repair process:
  • Phase I: Inflammation. Piercing the skin triggers your immune system to cleanse the wound, remove debris, increase blood flow and begin to create new tissue.

  • Phase II: Proliferation. The wound is rebuilt with new granulation cells, which are part of the extracellular matrix. Additionally, a new network of blood vessels develops.

  • Phase III: Remodeling. The wound is replaced with new dermal tissues and blood vessels.

Let's Talk PRP

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is derived from a small sample of your own blood.  PRP is used because it contains a variety of growth factors and other beneficial proteins.  On the day of your treatment, a small sample of blood will be drawn and then spun in a centrifuge for roughly 15 minutes.  Centrifugation causes the various components of blood – including platelets – to separate by density. The PRP will be extracted to harness its powerful skin-healing effects.

PRP is a great injectable treatment for naturally rejuvenating your skin and repairing the signs of aging.   Here are five reasons you should give it a try:

1. Total Rejuvenation

PRP stimulates collagen and elastin production which thickens and tightens thinning skin, effectively smoothing wrinkles and fine lines. Because it boosts collagen, it’s also a great treatment for improving overall skin texture and tone. It’s particularly good for people who suffer from rosacea or acne.

2. Treating Delicate and Difficult to Reach Areas

PRP is extremely effective for treating difficult to treat areas, such as the delicate under eye area where clients often notice signs of ageing first, but may not be suitable for laser treatments

3. All Natural Cosmetic Injectable

PRP uses your own natural elements!  The treatment works by drawing a small sample of your own blood and then reinjecting back into the treatment area to stimulate collagen and elastin production.

4.  Safety Profile

Because it uses your own natural blood, PRP is very safe. It’s also not a new treatment. It’s long been recognized and used in hospitals, sports medicine since the 1970s.

5. Long Lasting Results

Results from PRP take between three to four weeks to appear but are long-lasting, typically lasting 12 to 18 months after an initial series of three treatments.
